Inspired by a deck of mindfulness cards received as a gift, I invite you to start a Mindfulness challenge. I will post a simple mindfulness prompt until there are 30. My previous goal to post daily for a month wasn’t realistic for me :).
There is no right or wrong way to complete the activity. No rules including when, how, or in what order the challenges are completed–maybe you are able to complete the challenge in 30 days or it may take a year or two. Simply allow yourself, without judgement, to take a moment to be mindful, be curious, and to notice the sensations in your body and mind. Allow your thoughts to come and go.

Challenge #1: Watch a Sunrise or Sunset
I invite you to find a spot with a good view, get comfortable, and to take a couple of gentle inhales and exhales. Settle in and allow yourself to be in the moment. If thoughts come into your mind, notice them without judgement and then allow them to pass by. Be curious. What sensations do you feel in your body? What do hear, smell and feel in your environment? Notice your breath. Are you inhaling through your nostrils, mouth or both? Is your chest or stomach expanding with each inhale? No judgement, no need to control your breath or thoughts–just notice and be present in the moment.
