    A bit about me

Thank you for visiting BAM Counseling and let’s get started!

I have spent over two decades working in Healthcare IT. During that time, I began a mindfulness practice and started therapy to manage stress and challenges that came with working remotely in technology while balancing work and family. As I began to feel the benefits, I wanted to learn how to incorporate yoga and counseling so I returned to school and completed my MA in Clinical Counseling in 2013.

I am now a Clinical Professional Counselor (CPC) Intern licensed in Nevada. I work with individuals and small groups incorporating elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness & Yoga, Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to achieve their goals.

    The Process:

    1. Meet you where you’re at today: Through an intake assessment, I will learn more about who you are, your goals, and issues that you would like to work on.
    2. Define goals: Interested in reducing anxiety, improving your performance at work, processing trauma or grief, or finding more opportunities to find joy? Defining targeted short and long term goals are essential to our work and will help you create the life you want and deserve.
    3. Create an action plan: Together we will design an individualized plan which may include a counseling intervention like EMDR or starting a morning yoga routine. It’s your life in the making.
